NTSE Gujarat 2019 - Gujarat State Examination Board (GSEB) will organize National Talent Search Examination stage 1 for Gujarat on November 4, 2018. NTSE Gujarat 2019 will be conducted only for class 10 students from the state. Students can apply for the exam online from August 14, 2018. The link to apply is given below. The last date to apply online is September 15, 2018. A total of 119 students will be selected through NTSE Gujarat 2019 for the NTSE stage 2, 2019 that will be held on May 12, 2019 at Delhi by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). Students aspiring to participate should read further for online application, eligibility, and exam pattern of NTSE Gujarat 2019.

It is important to note that dates provided here for Gujarat NTSE 2019 are tentative and based on previous year examinations. Updates will be made as soon as they are released.

Examination Pattern - Only Mental Ability Test and Scholastic Ability Test will be conducted as Language test or Language Comprehension Test has been removed from NTSE stage 1 exam from this year.

Time Duration - Students will get 2 hours each for MAT and SAT tests as the duration of the exam has been increased to 4 hours.

NCERT has laid down the eligibility criteria for NTSE stage 1, 2019 exams. The eligibility criteria states the following conditions to be met to apply:

Candidate must be a student of class 10 in the current academic year of 2018-19.

Those who have appeared for class 10 board examinations in 2018 cannot apply for the exam.

Candidates must from the state of Gujarat.

Applications for Gujarat NTSE 2019 is available in online mode only on the official website of GSEB from August 14 2018. The last date to fill online application form is September 15, 2018. Candidates can check the steps mentioned below to apply.

Click on the link given above and fill in the required details.

Next, go to ‘Upload photograph’ link and upload a recent photo in .jpg format. Size of the photograph should not exceed 20kb.

Go to ‘Confirm Application’ and fill the required details.

Select payment method for NTSE Gujarat 2019.

Print your application card/ challan from dialogue box titled ‘Print Application form/ Challan.

NTSE Gujarat Exam Fee - Examination fee for NTSE Gujarat exam 2018 is Rs 70/- for general category applicants, and Rs 50/- for the reserved categories.

NTSE Gujarat Payment Method

Payment of NTSE Gujarat 2019 exam will be carried out through internet banking and SBI challan mode. Candidates who opt for challan mode will have to print a copy of the challan.

Applicants will be able to download their admit card of NTSE Gujarat 2019 from GSEB’s website at least 21 days before the exam date. To download the admit card/ hall pass follow the steps below-

  • How to prepare for NTSE Gujarat 2019?

Students preparing for Gujarat NTSE to be held on November 4, 2018 should go through the exam pattern, syllabus, and sample papers for the same to score well and qualify for stage 2. By thoroughly going through the exam pattern, and practising with the sample papers, students will get familiar with the type of questions that appear in the exam, and the time duration.   • NTSE Gujarat Syllabus 2019

Since there is no prescribed NTSE syllabus for stage 1, candidates have to refer to the official PDF that gives information on SAT and MAT. They can use the same to hone their preparation.

Mental Ability Test - Questions meant to test logical reasoning and problem-solving skills of the candidate feature in this section.

Scholastic Ability Test - Factual knowledge gained by the student in Mathematics, Science and Social Science are put to test by the questions in this section.

  • NTSE Gujarat Exam Pattern 2019

As mentioned earlier, NTSE Gujarat 2019 will only have the Mental Ability Test ( MAT ) and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT). Both tests will have 100 questions each, making it a total of 200 questions for NTSE Gujarat 2019 stage 1. Each question is for 1 mark only, and there will be no negative marking.
